6 Days snowmobile tour
The Boréal Trail
on and off trails
Québec-Charlevoix-Mts Valin-Québec North Shore

Snowmobile all inclusive tour 8 days/7 nights starting on Saturday

The St. Lawrence, a grand river that feeds much of eastern Canada and connects the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean, is in winter the scene of a truly spectacular sight : that of great ships slaloming between massive blocks of ice. At the charming village of Tadoussac, the majestic Saguenay Fjord meets the river, its waters frozen solid in winter. Its steep cliff faces, covered thickly by snow-covered forests, frame panoramas that are truly unforgettable.

Your journey by snowmobile will reach its peak in the heart of an immense boreal forest, where you’ll float over the spectacular powder of the Monts Valin backcountry to reach the warm ambiance of a traditional lodge lost in the middle of nowhere! Add to this the adventure of a ferry trip across the frigid waters of the fjord, a visit to the magnificent Laurentians Wildlife Reserve, and a passage through Charlevoix, one of Quebec’s most beautiful regions. In the middle of all of these magical landscapes, charming log cabins and inviting traditional inns await to welcome you at the end of each day. Discover great Nordic expanses and immerse yourself in an authentic cultural experience

    Laurentian Natural reserve-
    Mt Valin
    240km Snowmobiling

  • Today’s journey brings you to the heart of one of the most beautiful corners of the region where winter is king: the Laurentians Wilderness Reserve. You’ll cruise along the path of the Montmorency River, which feeds the famous Montmorency Falls near Quebec City. This splendid river meanders through the Laurentian mountains and is the centerpiece of the loveliest winter landscapes. As you move north toward the spectacular Saguenay Fjord, you will pass charming villages of coloured rooftops, sleepy and silent in the cold of winter. The trail will lead to the impressive Chutes-a-Caron dam, which spans the Saguenay River. From there, you will head straight north toward Monts-Valin National Park. Night at Relais Onatchiway.

  • Day 4

    Mt Valin-Lac Travers
    220 km Snowmobiling

  • After a restful night, you’ll grip your handlebars and rev up your snow machine once again; today you’ll be hitting the backcountry for the northernmost leg of your expedition, a ride through brute wilderness. You will leave the Saguenay region and plunge into the Côte Nord region, where a giant meteorite once fell, leaving behind one of Earth’s largest craters. Here, the vegetation thins as the boreal forest begins to give way to the unforgiving taiga. In this territory of the Innu and Naskapi peoples, the most magnificent panoramas are revealed as you make your way through the backcountry. Faced with the sheer immensity of the North, the feeling of freedom is sure to intensify with each moment. Night at the Chenail du Nord Lodge.

  • Day 5

    Day 5
    Lac Travers- Sacré coeur
    230 km

  • After a nourishing breakfast enjoyed in an ambiance marked by the remoteness of the site, where caribou and moose are more plentiful than people, you’ll head back to the trails. You’ll float away from the lodge on crisp, white trails and progress through ever more wild territories toward the magnificent St. Lawrence River. From time to time, you’ll enjoy views of the dramatic frozen coastline and gargatuan ice floes. Arrive at the end of the day in Sacré Cœur, where you’ll find once again the shores of the Saguenay Fjord.

  • Day 6
